In this still life we see a few colourful objects on a grey and black background. The objects don’t have any distinct features (like the title of the book), but rather serve to show that they are simply objects.
Through Cilia’s unique technique of painting, it could also seem like a blurred photograph, except the flower in the centre. Painted almost in a naïve style, the flower makes clear that this is a painting. As it is hard to tell which flower exactly the artist shows, it doesn’t carry any further symbolism.
